This course is about asbestos awareness for workplaces.
This training is more general than for a worker undertaking licensed asbestos removal of large quantities.
Despite being banned in 2003, thousands of buildings and machinery parts still contain asbestos.
So while working with asbestos is banned under most circumstances in Australian workplaces, it is very important that workers are able to identify any suspected asbestos containing materials, and know what to do to keep them selves and others safe.
